Wood grain on furniture and counters

Run the grain the long way on a door or a drawer front, and wrap the paper round the edge by about an inch so it cannot catch and peel.

On a counter, the paper takes the knocks the laminate used to take. Keep hot pans on a trivet, cut on a board, and expect the front edge to wear first.
